Expand I. Prelude / II. Introductions to the Ghost / III. Methodologies in Music and Morse
Time
06:00:00 – 06:11:00
Frequency (MHZ)
2.75
Antenna
inverted-v dipole antenna
Receiver
Icom 7100
Note

Sections I - III:
Heard the CW on 2.75 MHz, was somewhat copyable. Since I don't know more than 4 letters in CW, I let FLDIGI do the decoding, and am basing the copyability on that. I found that putting the radio into SSB instead of AM improved the signal to noise ratio in this case. I experimented with this in several other sections.

Expand IV. Saxophonal Stochastic Ghost Resonances
Time
06:11:30 – 06:16:30
Frequency (MHZ)
3.35, 2.75
Antenna
inverted-v dipole antenna
Receiver
Icom 7100
Note

Section IV:
Heard clearly on both 3.35MHz and 2.75MHz. The signals became the same as each other at 0614 UTC.

Expand V. Wolves Chasing the Ghost
Time
06:17:00 – 06:22:00
Frequency (MHZ)
2.75
Antenna
inverted-v dipole antenna
Receiver
Icom 7100
Note

Section V:
Heard on 2.75MHz LSB with a 3k band pass filter enabled.

Expand VI. The Mind and the MRI
Time
06:22:30 – 06:32:30
Frequency (MHZ)
2.75, 3.35
Antenna
inverted-v dipole antenna
Receiver
Icom 7100
Note

Section VI:
SSTV images are attached, starting with filename: VIsstv*.PNG
VIsstv1: 2.75 AM (I switched from AM to LSB roughly halfway through the image reception to see the difference)
VIsstv2: 3.35 LSB
VIsstv3: 3.35 LSB
VIsstv4: 2.75 LSB
VIsstv5: 3.35 LSB
3.35 appeared to come in somewhat stronger than 2.75 in this section.

Expand VII. Letters and Numbers
Time
06:33:00 – 06:39:00
Frequency (MHZ)
2.75, 3.35
Antenna
inverted-v dipole antenna
Receiver
Icom 7100
Note

Section VII:
3.35 and 2.75 were both heard extremely clear. I had best results using AM with a 3k band pass filter.

Expand VIII. Pictures and Words
Time
06:39:30 – 06:45:30
Frequency (MHZ)
2.75
Antenna
inverted-v dipole antenna
Receiver
Icom 7100
Note

Section VIII:
Audio heard on 2.75 with clear phonetics.
SSTV image attached (VIIIsstv1.PNG)
Started with LSB, switched to AM at 25% into the reception. Switched back to LSB at 50%. And back to AM at 75%.

Expand IX. Spy Cameras from the Sky and a Mystery Box in the Woods
Time
06:46:00 – 06:56:00
Frequency (MHZ)
5.1, 6.9
Antenna
inverted-v dipole antenna
Receiver
Icom 7100
Note

Section IX:
Nothing heard on either 5.1 or 6.9Mhz. Was able to faintly hear some audio at around 0650 UTC (AM with 3k band pass filter).
SSTV was very weak. The signal dropped several times, causing the image to never be fully received.

Expand X. Not with a Bang but with a WSPR
Time
06:56:30 – 06:59:30
Frequency (MHZ)
2.75
Antenna
inverted-v dipole antenna
Receiver
Icom 7100
Note

Section X:
Great copy on the CW. Again, used FLDIGI to handle the decoding, and it seemed to be pretty close to a perfect copy. Able to make out most of the message.
