Langley, Richard
This is a report on reception of the second day (27 March UTC) of your HAARP transmissions using my own receiver in Hanwell, just outside Fredericton, New Brunswick, on the east coast of Canada. I went outside with my receiver (protected in a plastic enclosure), close to 40 m away from the house to help minimize the effect of RFI being generated inside my house. I used my Tecsun PL-880 in AM mode with 2.3 kHz IF bandwidth along with my Tecsun AN-03L 7-metre wire antenna strung to a nearby tree. The audio was recorded using my Tecsun ICR-100 radio recorder / digital audio player with the mp3 files subsequently downloaded to my MacBook Pro for later playback and decoding.
No signal was detected on 3200 kHz at 02:00 UTC and I didn't bother to check the other subsequent low frequencies. However, I did get a weak signal on 4400 kHz between 02:33:00 and 02:45:30 UTC with some fading. I also had a signal on 4500 kHz at the same time but it was buried beneath CODAR interference. I had a slightly stronger signal on 6900 kHz between 02:46:00 and 02:56:00 UTC. That signal was stronger than on the previous night when the audio was unintelligible for the most part. There was occasional utility interference that swamped your signal for a few seconds but it was mostly audible. Attached are a couple of audio clips and the SSTV image I decoded from the 6900 kHz transmission.
